Job summary

OnePeak Medical is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples with precision in a fast-paced clinic in Albany, Oregon. You will ensure accurate labeling, sample integrity, and a positive patient experience while supporting multiple clinic areas.

The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy training or experience, and current BLS/CPR certification, with IV certification preferred within 6 months of hire. Travel to other clinics may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience or completion of a formal phlebotomist training program.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • IV Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire date (preferred).
  • Associate degree in a medical field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee electronic lab orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Administer and record injections.
  • Assist with IV administration and documentation.
  • Conduct phlebotomy draws and sample labeling.
  • Cross-train to support clinic areas including medical assisting and front desk duties.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor or manager.
  • Maintain patient-centered approach and HIPAA confidentiality.

Join our team as a Phlebotomist and play a vital role in patient care by collecting blood samples with precision and compassion. You’ll ensure accurate labeling, maintain sample integrity, and provide a positive experience for patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.


Responsibilities and Duties


  • Oversee electronic lab orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all patients.

  • Administer and record injections.

  • Assist with IV administration and documentation.

  • Conduct lab and therapeutic phlebotomy draws.

  • Cross-train to cover various clinic areas, including medical assistance and front desk duties as required.

  • Perform other tasks as directed by the provider or manager.

  • Utilize problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to address patient complaints.

  • Attend scheduled departmental staff and clinical meetings.

  • Ensure full compliance with OnePeak Medical's Employee Handbook and the Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Binder in carrying out all duties and services.

  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support OnePeak Medical.

Education and Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent - required

  • Minimum of 6 months recent phlebotomy experience and/or completion of formal Phlebotomist training program - required

  • Current BLS and/or CPR/AED Certification - required

  • IV Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire date - preferred

  • Associate college degree in a medical field - strongly preferred


Physical Requirements


  • Move supplies up to 25 lbs

  • Lift equipment up to 25 lbs

  • Standing and walking 50% of time

  • Typing and sitting 50% of time

  • Up to date on health screenings (TB, Hepatitis) and immunizations


Salary Range for this Role

$17.18 - $20.22 USD
