Kindred Hospital South Florida - Coral Gables is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and related specimen collection in a 55-bed LTAC setting. You will support laboratory operations and ensure specimen integrity for testing.

Responsibilities include collecting blood, labeling tubes, maintaining supplies, and documenting in the LIS. Requirements include HS + phlebotomy training and current BLS, with fluent English and state licensing as applicable.

Qualificações

• Six months acute care phlebotomy experience or one year as a medical assistant performing venipuncture.
• HS graduate or equivalent with formal phlebotomy training as required by state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• State license/registration as required by state.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Collect blood specimens from patients via venipuncture and skin puncture according to orders and procedures.
• Label, log and file all test tubes and related paperwork.
• Maintain venipuncture trays and keep work areas clean; order supplies as needed.
• Document specimen collection and related activities in the laboratory information system.
• Perform clerical duties and assist in laboratory functions as delegated by the Laboratory Manager/Director.
