Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Gahanna, OH, for a 3 to 4 month assignment. Schedule is 8:30am–5:00pm on Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri and 8:30am–8:00pm on Thu. Requires minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience and the ability to manage specimens and patient interactions professionally.

The phlebotomist will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, ensure accurate patient and test information, and follow physician orders with attention to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience with blood draws and specimen labeling.
• Ability to follow physician orders and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection steps clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and ensure accuracy of requisitions.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and organize labeling.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by tests.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and transport as needed.
