Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and recording maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; ensure correct labeling and handling.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; participate in annual trainings; handle inquiries.
