Must hold a valid Phlebotomy certification for the state, at least 6 months venipuncture experience, and be proficient with Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check test requisitions or computer labels against scripts for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage conditions and regulatory compliance.
