Job summary

Labcorp in Elgin, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, enter data accurately, and travel to additional sites as needed.

The role offers a Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–7:30pm shift with rotating Friday/Saturday 8:00am–5:00pm, a pay range of $17.50–$24.50 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
