Job summary

Labcorp in McHenry, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections and data entry while delivering exceptional patient service. The role may involve travel to additional sites and occasional overtime based on patient needs.

Expect evening shifts (2nd shift) with a pay range of $17.75–$24.00 per hour, plus incentive opportunities. A phlebotomy credential is required or must be obtained; prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
