Ardent is seeking a day-shift, PRN phlebotomist in Westwood, NJ for weekend coverage. The role involves specimen collection by venipuncture and capillary draws, plus urine collection and specimen culture steps as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, an accredited phlebotomy program with clinicals or relevant experience, and nationally recognized phlebotomy certifications. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are required.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or prior phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency (CPT/NHA, PBT/ASCP, RPT/AMT, NCPT/NCCT, CPT/ACA).
• Basic computer skills and strong customer service skills.

• Perform specimen collection techniques including venipuncture, capillary draws and urine collection.
• Follow specimen collection instructions and ensure proper labeling and handling.
• Comply with laboratory safety procedures and quality controls.

The Phlebotomist functions as a laboratory professional who performs specimen collection techniques or specimen collection instructions that include: venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instructions, and specimen culture collection instructions.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program withclinicalsor previous phlebotomyexperience.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency. Accepted agencies and certifications include:
• NationalHealth CareerAssociation – Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (NHA)
• American Society for Clinical Pathology – Phlebotomy Technician: PBT (ASCP)
• American Medical Technologists – Registered Phlebotomy Technician: RPT (AMT).
• National Center for Competency Testing – National Certified Phlebotomy Technician: NCPT (NCCT)
• American Certification Agency – Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (ACA)
• Basic computer skills and strong customer service skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Experience working in the clinical setting.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
