Ardent is seeking a day-shift, part-time Laboratory Phlebotomist in Montclair, NJ. The role involves specimen collection including venipuncture and capillary draws, with emphasis on accuracy and patient care in a laboratory setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited phlebotomy program with clinicals or phlebotomy experience, and national certification from a recognized agency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency (NHA CPT, ASCP PBT, AMT RPT, NCCT NCPT, ACA CPT).

Responsabilités

• Performs venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instructions, and specimen culture collection instruction as part of laboratory duties.

Formation

High School diploma or equivalent

Accredited phlebotomy program with clinicals

Phlebotomy certification (CPT/NHA/ASCP/AMT/NCCT/ACA)

The Phlebotomist functions as a laboratory professional who performs specimen collection techniques or specimen collection instructions that include: venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instructions, and specimen culture collection instruction.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency. Accepted agencies and certifications include:
  • National Heathcareer Association – Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (NHA)
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology – Phlebotomy Technician: PBT (ASCP)
  • American Medical Technologists – Registered Phlebotomy Technician: RPT (AMT)
  • National Center for Competency Testing – National Certified Phlebotomy Technician: NCPT (NCCT)
  • American Certification Agency – Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (ACA)

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Experience working in the clinical setting.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
