As a Clinic Lab Phlebotomist, you'll provide safe, accurate specimen collection while promoting positive patient experiences and supporting laboratory excellence.

What You'll Do
  • Perform venipuncture, fingerstick, and heelstick specimen collections in accordance with established laboratory standards and age-specific patient care requirements.
  • Verify patient identity and specimen labeling using approved identification procedures to ensure patient safety and specimen integrity.
  • Prepare, process, and transport laboratory specimens while maintaining proper handling procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain specimen integrity throughout the collection, processing, and transport process to support accurate laboratory results.
  • Support laboratory workflow and daily operations by assisting with specimen management, order processing, and customer service activities.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, nursing staff, and laboratory personnel to coordinate specimen collection and testing requirements.
  • Utilize laboratory information systems to support registration, order management, documentation, and specimen tracking activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to specimen collection, processing, and laboratory operations.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance activities throughout the laboratory.
  • Promote patient comfort, dignity, safety, and exceptional customer service during every patient interaction.
