Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Phlebotomist for day shift. You will perform venipuncture and specimen collection, ensure proper labeling and transport, and maintain strict infection control and patient identification practices.

Required to complete an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals and hold national certification. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred and the lab relies on accurate, timely specimen handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from nationally recognized agency: CPT (NHA), PBT (ASCP), RPT (AMT), NCPT (NCCT), CPT (ACA).

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection per lab guidelines.
• Maintain proper specimen labeling, packaging, and transport.
• Ensure patient identification and infection control throughout draw procedures.
• Communicate pertinent data to care providers and team.
• Answer lab department calls and support daily workflow.
• Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards and quality processes.
• Prioritize workload and assist teammates to maintain productivity.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience
