Duration: 3 months, with possible extension
Shift: M-F 8:30-5:30 W/ROTATING SATURDAYS
Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients for routine health visits and critical health decisions. This role involves:
· Drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
· Ensuring safety, accuracy, and professionalism in every patient interaction.
· Creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures.
· Following established procedures, confidentiality policies, and process excellence standards.
· Working at doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Specimen Collection & Processing:
· Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection with precision.
· Verify patient demographic information, including initials and signatures post-venipuncture.
· Ensure all specimens are properly labeled in the patient’s presence.
· Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment.
· Demonstrate strong phlebotomy skills, including working with pediatric and geriatric patients.
· Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
· Medical training (Preferred): Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
· Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:
· 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
· 2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred).
· Customer service experience in a retail or service setting (Preferred).
· Keyboarding/data entry experience (Preferred).
