Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in San Tan Valley, AZ. The successful candidate will perform blood collection, ensure proper specimen handling, and provide excellent patient service in a client-office setting.

Qualifications include high school diploma and phlebotomy training or certification; OB/GYN experience is a plus. This full-time role may require travel to additional sites and offers a pathway for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2+ years experience as phlebotomist preferred.
• 1+ year experience in an Ob/gyn setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and other testing.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and travel to additional sites as needed.

Job Location

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in San Tan Valley, AZ at North Gantzel Road, San Tan Valley, AZ 85140.

Work Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm and Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more experience in an Obgyn setting

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Client Office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
