Job summary

AHMC Healthcare Inc. in Riverside, CA seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to perform venipuncture for inpatients and outpatients, dispose of sharps per policy, and complete all timed draws before shift end.

The role requires adherence to hospital and lab procedures, with emphasis on isolation protocols. Qualified candidates will hold a California CPT certificate and have the ability to perform venipuncture, skin puncture, and arterial puncture as unlicensed personnel where allowed; 1 year hospital

Qualifications

• Current California CPT certificate required.
• Unlicensed personnel qualifications for venipuncture, skin puncture, and arterial puncture.
• One year of experience in an Acute Care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly performs venipuncture on inpatients and outpatients.
• Properly disposes of all contaminated needles immediately upon completion of phlebotomy procedures.
• Completes all timed draws, STAT, and ASAP orders before ending the shift.
• Strictly follows Hospital and Lab policies/procedures regarding patient care with special attention to isolation procedures.
• Assists in orientation of new personnel as requested.
