Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $25.00/hr

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team in surrounding Houston area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages.
  • Prepare patients for blood draws by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Label specimens accurately according to established protocols.
  • Maintain proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean, properly maintained, and stored securely after use.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with the transportation of specimens to the laboratory as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.


Certification:

  • National certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, NHA) is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hire; must be obtained within [specified time period] after hire if not already certified.


Experience:

  • Prior experience in phlebotomy or related healthcare position preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.


Skills:

  • Strong communication skills—ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.

Physical Requirements:
