Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in New City, NY.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm and rotating Saturdays 7:00am- 2:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Carry out administrative and clerical duties as required
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range

$17.75 - $27.00 per hour

Benefits

Employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week qualify for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off or Flexible Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, or Temporary staff are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
