Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist for a contract position based in Lakewood, NJ. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and ensuring proper handling and storage.

You will update patient information and interact with the lab team to communicate results. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of pediatrics/geriatrics experience in hospital, clinic, or lab settings and may hold a phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with Pediatrics & geriatrics in Hospital / Clinic / Lab is Mandatory
• Phlebotomy certification is Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge them as necessary.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
