Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in St. John's, FL for a part-time schedule with every other weekend from 2:30PM to 11:00PM.

The role involves blood collection, specimen handling and accurate data entry, with travel to additional sites as needed. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 months of phlebotomy experience; certification or training is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification or training preferred; 3+ months experience acceptable.
  • Strong communication, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and pass a color vision test.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient information accurately into the system.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to patients.
  • Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in St. John's, FL.

Work Schedule: Part time working every other weekend 2:30PM-11:00PM

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled toworka 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
