Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility, based in Orland Park, IL 60462.

This is a Contract role with a possible extension and a great opportunity to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Orland Park, IL 60462 (Float request with varied hours across Chicago, Chicago Heights, Orland Park, Joliet, Hazel Crest, Aurora, Carpentersville, South Holland, Kankakee, Streamwood, Forest Park)

Schedule: 8-8, M-F. Candidates should be available, as hours vary depending on the site that opens earliest (40 hrs/week).

Pay Range: $17/hr - $23/hr (Offered pay rate will depend on education, experience, and healthcare credentials. The rate is based on years of direct experience as listed in the resume.)

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, decontaminate, and update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens following established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders, match requisition forms to specimens, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Verify test requisitions against labels to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at appropriate temperatures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
