Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Phlebotomist to obtain and prepare specimens for analysis, enabling accurate laboratory services for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency patients.

Under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will use a state-of-the-art wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and adhere to our Mission of Mercy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) required.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program; national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis.
• Use a wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and workflow.
• Support Mercy Gilbert Medical Center's mission by delivering compassionate phlebotomy service.

As our Phlebotomist, you will help the Laboratory obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis so they can provide accurate laboratory services vital for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency department patients.

Every day you will work under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, obtaining and/or preparing specimens for analysis. You will be expected to use a state-of-the-art wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

To be successful in this role, you must be a dynamic Phlebotomist who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients and have completed an accredited phlebotomy program (with national certification being preferred).

• High School diploma or equivalent
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Preferred

• Previous experience in a health-related field
