Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Garland, TX (75041). This role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across all ages, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and potential additional hours on Saturdays.

You will prepare specimens, enter data, and handle billing tasks while delivering excellent patient service. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred qualifications include phlebotomy experience and certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Handle data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients and assist with administrative duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Job Description

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Garland, TX (75041)

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will work in our clients' office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
