Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our Fort Worth, TX team. The role involves skilled blood collections, specimen handling, and patient-facing service in a clinical setting.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, ensure accurate data entry, and support billing processes while traveling to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience assisting patients from pediatric to geriatric.
• LabCorp experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen data.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Ft Worth, TX (76116)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will work in our clients' office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM *

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
