Job summary

Duly Health & Care in Downers Grove is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture across age groups, prepare specimens for testing, and maintain patient logs. Travel to additional sites may be required while delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

High school diploma required; National Phlebotomy Certification preferred. Prior phlebotomy experience or an equivalent training, plus solid medical terminology and communication skills, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• National Phlebotomy Certification or qualified to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferred.
• Prior experience as a Phlebotomist OR an equivalent combination of graduation from a certified phlebotomy school coupled with work experience in a healthcare field preferred.
• Moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture technique for all age groups.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
