Overview
The Woodlands Hospital is a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries), surgery, pathology, pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.
Responsibilities
Performs blood collection and specimen processing. Assists with clerical duties as requested. Maintains laboratory collection turnaround time. Performs specimen processing.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: High School diploma
Required Licensure and Certifications:
California: PHLEB:CA
Nevada: PHLEB:NV
Washington: MAP:WA
Other states not required
All states: BLS-CPR within 90 days
Preferred Certification: Phlebotomy certificate
Preferred Experience: 3 months phlebotomy in an acute care facility
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training: Excellent customer service and time management skills
