Job summary

Quadrant, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our high-volume clinic team. The role requires patient-focused blood collection, accurate labeling, and entry of lab work into our EMR systems.

You will work with pediatric to adult patients and must have a current Phlebotomy Certification and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• Valid Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Experience processing labs and entering data into EMR.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume clinic.
• Experience with pediatric to adult patient populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients.
• Verify patient identity.
• Label specimens with patient information.
• Determine best venipuncture method for each patient.
• Centrifuge and process samples as needed.
• Keep phlebotomy area organized and clean.
• Follow infection control standards at all times.

Phlebotomist

Pay From: $18 per hour

Must

• Must have 3 plus years of experience as a Phlebotomist
• Must hold a current Phlebotomy Certification
• Must have experience processing labs
• Must have EMR experience
• Must be comfortable working in a high volume clinic
• Experience working with pediatric patients to adults is highly preferred
• Enter lab work into computer software

Duties

• Collect blood samples from patients
• Practice proper patient identification, especially when working on hospital floors
• Label vials with patient names and dates
• Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient
• Centrifuge blood samples
• Keep phlebotomy cart or station well‑organized at all times
• Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment
