Phlebotomist

1 Contractor Onsite position

Location: Boise, ID, United States, 83706

Shift Timings

04:30-13:00 (Monday to Friday), 8 Hours/5 Days

Per Week

40 Hours

Work Schedule

• Tuesday through Saturday
• Wednesday - Sunday
• Thursday - Monday (Holiday Rotation, only if a holiday falls on their scheduled work day)

Note: EPIC/Beaker training will be required once on-site.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and verify their personal information by reviewing their identity documents.
• Assess patient needs, review patient history, and determine the reasons for blood collection.
• Select appropriate gauge needles and prepare veins or fingers for blood draw.
• Perform blood extraction via venipuncture or fingersticks.
• Analyze blood specimens using the proper testing equipment when necessary.
• Prepare specimens for transportation, including accurate labeling and matching blood vials to patients.
• Provide diagnostic notes to physicians, healthcare professionals, and hospitals.
• Maintain records of patient names, blood volume drawn, and diagnostic findings.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment used in blood drawing and testing.
• Order laboratory supplies as needed.
