Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to support patient care by labeling and delivering specimens for testing, collecting blood samples using age-appropriate techniques, and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will also assist with blood drives, including donor interviews and screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• An approved nationally accredited phlebotomy training course preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASCP or NHA certification preferred.

What we’re looking for

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred; An approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy Preferred
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Experience: One year of experience preferred.
• Licenses: Certification from ASCP or NHA Preferred
• Required Skills: Familiarity with organization and functions of each hospital department Leadership ability, integrity, and initiative required. Ability to solve problems effectively and handle stress in a positive manner. Maintain harmonious relationships with nursing personnel, medical staff, hospital administration, and all hospital department.
