Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Experienced Bilingual Phlebotomist Float to join our team in the Aurora/Bolingbrook area (Elgin, Bensenville, Carol Stream, Villa Park, Aurora, Bolingbrook, Joliet, Romeoville, Sandwich, Plainfield, and Yorkville).

Work Schedule

Varied Schedule: 6:00am - 8:00pm (flexibility to start as early as 6am, and also able to work as late as 8pm. This can include holidays and weekends).

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience
  • 2 years pediatric experience
  • Bilingual Spanish
Additional Job Standards
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • This position requires full vaccination against COVID-19. Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires must provide proof of vaccination or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.
Pay Range

$17.50 - $24.50 per hour

Float Incentive

Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary workers are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan. Employees working a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
