Job description

Locations

Naperville, Joliet, Elk Grove Village, Oak Brook, Hoffman Estates, Palos Hills, Chicago, Yorkville, Oak Park, Munster, IN.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00am-8:00pm and rotating Saturdays, 1st Shift with varied schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• Or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
• Be at least 21 years old.

Compensation

Pay range: $17.50 - $24.50 per hour. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive

Additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.
