Job summary

Department Information

Philosophy at UWG offers a BA in Philosophy, and a BA in Philosophy with a concentration in either (Law, Justice, and Society) or in (Religion); along with minors in Philosophy or Religion. We seek part-time faculty colleagues to teach Philosophy-based university core classes, and limited other discipline related courses as part of our annual course offerings. Course offerings for part-time colleagues are as needed; however, we typically have multiple courses/sections opportunities for part-time colleagues within each semester.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Preference to candidates who have completed a Master’s degree or terminal degree (MA or PhD) within the specified discipline of Philosophy or a related field. Application materials and credentials should correlate with the specific areas of application.

  • Preference to candidates who have documented experience in teaching Philosophy based pedagogy.
