Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a Philanthropy Support Services Manager to oversee gift processing, donor acknowledgment, and financial reconciliation. You will ensure timely recording of contributions, maintain internal controls, and support reporting for audits across the Office Of Philanthropy.

Reporting to the AVP of Philanthropy Operations, Stewardship and Finance, you will lead a small team, ensure IRS compliance, and partner with Finance to optimize processes while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in philanthropy, nonprofit finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive philanthropy operations experience.
• Proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar CRM.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to data accuracy.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gift processing and ensure accurate recording and deposits.
• Manage donor acknowledgments and IRS substantiation standards.
• Coordinate financial reconciliation and treasury support.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with fundraising and finance teams on reporting.
