Job summary

Children’s Law Center seeks a Director of Philanthropy Operations to lead the operational backbone of its development program in Washington, DC. The role manages annual fund execution, events, communications, gift processing standards and data integrity, while supervising the philanthropy operations team.

The incumbent will translate fundraising goals into reliable systems, improve tools and processes, and provide clear reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in nonprofit development operations, advancement services, or fundraising systems management.
  • Experience using a constituent relationship management database and maintaining accurate records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Supervisory experience with development staff and performance coaching.
  • Ability to document processes, set standards and ensure data quality across programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee annual fund logistics, mail/email production, event operations and vendor coordination.
  • Oversee data governance, reporting and dashboards for leadership to track revenue and activity.
  • Manage DonorPerfect and integrated platforms, coding frameworks and automation tools.
  • Own the Development Operations Playbook and ensure processes are documented and transferable.
