Job summary

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is seeking two Philanthropy Officers to lead major gifts and accelerate lifesaving breast cancer research. Based in New York, you will manage a donors portfolio, secure leadership gifts, and collaborate with colleagues to advance BCRF’s mission.

Reporting to the Director, Major Gifts, you will cultivate relationships with philanthropists, identify growth opportunities, and build a strategic, donor-centered fundraising program during a period of growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in frontline fundraising.
• Demonstrated track record of soliciting and closing five and six figure gifts.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior leadership, donors and volunteers.
• Executive presence and discretion when working with ultra-high-net-worth donors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a portfolio of approximately 150 current and prospective donors.
• Develop and execute strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors.
• Secure leadership and major gifts and collaborate with colleagues to inspire donor investment.
• Create proposals, impact reports, funding opportunities and stewardship materials.
• Partner with senior leadership and researchers to maximize donor engagement.
