Education Bachelor's degree in communications, hospitality or related field with strong customer service skills preferred. Experience / Qualifications Minimum 2-4 years work experience in a non-profit agency, specifically in the fundraising field, or equivalent. Healthcare experience a plus. Must be detail oriented, a self-starter and have the ability to proactively problem solves and work well both individually and as part of a team. Strong oral and written communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point Knowledge of accessing and utilizing Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
The Philanthropy Coordinate (PC) provides general administrative, logistical, project management, data entry and fundraising support for a team of 6 to 8 gift officers at Jupiter Medical Center Foundation. The PC will be part of a fast-paced team and ensure the smooth functioning of all aspects of the fundraising cycle – identify, engage, evaluate, solicit, recognize, and steward. Structured for continued future growth within the organization, this position reports directly to the Executive Director of Major Gifts and Campaign Director. Assist with the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current and prospective donors. Work independently and within a team. The PC will take initiative to manage their own priorities yet work collaboratively in a team environment to provide regular administrative support to the Executive Director of Major Gifts and Campaign Director and Philanthropy team. Serve as a point of contact for the philanthropy team/donors through written and verbal communication and print donor cards as necessary. Responsible for answering main Foundation phone line and directing calls appropriately. Update main line voicemail message to reflect office closing. Responsible for greeting guests. Assist Foundation Staff in preparing conference rooms for meetings, including audio visual support. Provide a positive giving experience to donors over the phone and in person. Ability to handle incoming calls for memorial and in honor of gifts. Be comfortable with data entry and proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point. Utilize Raiser’s Edge to update and maintain donor records and assist with pulling reports for portfolio review meetings. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, deliver results under tight deadlines with little oversight at times. Assist with fundraising appeal production including updating donor lists, editing, printing, mailing, and managing project tasks timeline. Complete special projects as assigned. Attend off-site Foundation events as needed. Be proactive in seeking additional duties and improving processes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Able to work under a high-pressure environment, work independently, multi-task, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert and self-motivated.
