Job summary

The Boston Home is looking for a Philan thropy & Communications Coordinator to support donor relations and volunteer engagement. This on-site role with optional 1-2 remote days per week will handle data entry, donor acknowledgments, social media, website content, and event support.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with strong communication skills. Beyond fundraising duties, you will help coordinate volunteer onboarding and coordinate with various TBH departments to advance the mission.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Philanthropy & Communications Coordinator plays an important role in advancing The Boston Home's mission by supporting an active program of volunteer outreach, donor stewardship, events, and communications. Primary responsibilities include:

• Manage gift data entry & donor acknowledgement letters
• Lead volunteer outreach, onboarding, and placement within TBH departments
• Assist with social media content development and social media updates
• Support website and e-newsletter content and updates
• Assist with direct mail appeals and other donor correspondence
• Support departmental events & initiatives as needed.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent communication skills. Familiarity with social media platforms and database usage is helpful but not required. This is primarily an on-site position with the option for 1-2 remote days per week.
