Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital in Austin is seeking a Philanthropy Advisor III to manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, cultivate relationships and secure significant philanthropic support. You will work with clinical leaders, fundraising colleagues, volunteers, and community partners to identify opportunities and develop strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of fundraising experience required.
• 5 years of direct individual fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing major gifts preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering results.
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a relationship-focused, creative approach to donor engagement.
• Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with diverse personalities, stakeholders, and leadership teams.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to achieving ambitious fundraising objectives.
• A collaborative team player who contributes positively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Raise transformational support.
• Secure $4 million or more annually through major gifts and philanthropic commitments.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of qualified major gift prospects and donors.
• Develop and execute personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Partner with fundraising volunteers to strengthen donor engagement and maximize philanthropic support.
• Build meaningful partnerships with clinical and administrative leaders across Texas Children's.
• Collaborate with internal partners to advance fundraising priorities for key programs and service lines.
• Identify opportunities to align donor interests with organizational priorities.
• Participate in strategy sessions focused on major gift prospects and fundraising opportunities.
• Support Office of Philanthropy initiatives, campaigns, and signature events.
• Contribute to the development and execution of fundraising and communication strategies that advance organizational goals.
• Ensure excellence in donor management and accurate portfolio documentation.
• Use data to inform strategy, measure progress, and strengthen donor relationships.
