Job summary

Wilsonart seeks a mechanical re-winder operator to produce quality rewinds and meet product quality standards. Operate the re-winder safely, maintain visual quality, and ensure proper winding according to department specifications.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience. Physical work involves lifting up to 50 lbs and exposure to fumes/noise in a manufacturing environment. Wilsonart promotes equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards in Phenolic Department.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling.
• Knowledge of re-winder machinery operating functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the phenolic treated material re-winder safely.
• Monitor and maintain visual quality according to department standards.
• Ensure that the material is rewound properly.
• Make necessary machine adjustments and notify checker of malfunctions.
• Remove completed rewinds and stage in the staging area.
• Record all needed information on log.
• Perform Oracle functions on the computer for each job.
• Regular Attendance Required.
• Perform other duties as required in a competent, professional manner.
