Job summary

Wilsonart in North Carolina is seeking a Mechanical Re-winder Operator to produce quality rewinds in line with Product Quality specs. You’ll join a team focused on safety and operational excellence, with opportunities to learn and grow.

Responsibilities include safe operation of the phenolic re-winder, maintaining visual quality, proper rewinding, making machine adjustments, logging data, and performing Oracle functions; regular attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to Phenolic Department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and safe handling.
• Knowledge of the operating functions of the re-winder machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate the phenolic treated material re-winder safely.
• Monitor and maintain visual quality according to Product Quality Department standards.
• Ensure that the material is rewound properly.
• Make any necessary adjustments to machine for proper operation and notify checker of any malfunctions.
• Remove completed rewinds and stage in staging area.
• Record all needed information on log.
• Perform Oracle functions on computer for each job.
• Regular Attendance Required.
