Waymo LLC in Mountain View, California is seeking a PhD intern to work on planning and prediction models for the Waymo Driver. You will research, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art models for planning and predictions, and collaborate with teams across perception, robotics, and ML.

The role requires pursuing a PhD in CS, ML, or robotics, with experience in Transformers and reinforcement learning, and hands-on Python, TensorFlow, JAX, or PyTorch.

Formación

• Enrolled in a PhD program in CS, ML, or robotics.
• Experience with Transformers and reinforcement learning.
• Proficient with Python and modern DL libraries (TensorFlow, JAX, PyTorch).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Responsabilidades

• Research, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art models for planning and predictions.
• Analysis of results in both open-loop and closed-loop.
• Conduct machine learning experiments using JAX and Python.
• Collaborate within and across teams, and present insights clearly.
