Job summary

Waymo invites PhD students to join our World Action Models internship on the Waymo AI Foundations team in Mountain View, CA. You will research, implement, and evaluate world action models for end-to-end autonomous driving, collaborating with researchers and engineers to improve the Waymo World Model.

You should be pursuing a Ph.D. in CS, Robotics, ML, or EE, with a strong publication record and hands-on experience in deep learning for autonomous driving.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong publication record in AI/ML or robotics conferences.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning models for autonomous driving or robotics.

Responsibilities

• Research, implement, and evaluate world action models for end-to-end autonomous driving.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to improve the Waymo World Model.
• Communicate research findings through technical reports or publications.
