Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb invites PhD candidates to join the Chemical Process Development Analytical team in New Brunswick, NJ, for a 10-week internship from June 7 to August 13, 2027. You will design and optimize LC and NMR analytical methods and work with mentors to gain industry experience.

The program offers exposure to senior leaders, a formal presentation, and a mentorship track, with compensation at $45 per hour and potential limited benefits depending on structure and location.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Expected to graduate between Fall 2027 and 2028.
• Authorized to work in the US both at time of hire and for the duration of employment.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater on resume for consideration.
• Role requires hands-on LC (HPLC/UPLC) experience; NMR experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to evaluate LC and NMR instrument performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interrogate representative small-molecule reactions and related impurities.
• Analyze and interpret chromatographic and spectroscopic data to assess system suitability and performance limits.
