Job summary

Ai2, the Allen Institute for AI, invites PhD-level researchers to join our Robotics team as full-time research interns in Seattle. Interns work under mentors to tackle core problems in foundation models and robotics, develop open data sets, benchmarks, and models, and experiment with real robots.

The program runs for 12 weeks (start date flexible) with compensation differing by degree level (Undergrad $94,320; Masters $106,110; PhD $140,000 annually).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in robotics, machine learning, or related fields.
• Strong research background in AI/robotics.
• International candidates are welcome and visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AI research under the guidance of a mentor, including building AI systems or datasets and conducting experiments.
• Read and discuss scientific literature to advance research progress.
• Meet with the mentor to review progress and discuss ideas.
