Job summary

NVIDIA invites PhD students to apply for the 2027 Internships in Ph.D. Research Generative AI. You will design and implement algorithms at the frontier of generative AI, computer vision and robotics, and translate research into prototypes, patents, products or publications.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a university pursuing a Ph.D. degree for the full duration of the internship; anticipated graduation date must be clearly indicated on a resume or CV.
• Programming skills: Python, C++, CUDA, Deep Learning Frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, etc.).
• Strong research background with publications at top conferences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with large-scale model training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms that push the boundaries of generative AI, computer vision, robotics, and related domains.
• Collaborate with other team members, teams, and external researchers.
• Transfer research to product groups to enable new products or types of products; deliverables include prototypes, patents, products, and/or publishing original research.
