Job summary

NVIDIA AI in Durham, NC is seeking a PhD Research Intern to join the Circuits team. You will work on advanced circuit design to enable high-performance, low-power processors, designing and prototyping circuits and collaborating with researchers across product teams.

You are pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field, with deep knowledge of circuit design theory and practice and strong communication skills to share results across groups.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, CS/Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent knowledge and broad background of circuit design theory and practice.
• Depth in high-performance circuit design areas such as PLLs/clocking, SerDes/high-speed signaling, photonics, SRAMs, power delivery/regulation, security circuits, and high-speed logic, advanced packaging technologies, or thermal analysis/design.
• Track record of research excellence or significant product development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Explore circuit approaches to optimizing processor computation and interconnect performance and power.
• Design and implement circuit approaches in prototype systems.
• Collaborate with other researchers and a diverse set of internal product teams across research and product roles.
• Transfer technology to product groups.
