Job summary

Hope Network in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Doctoral Psychologist II to provide neuropsychological evaluations, therapy, and interdisciplinary clinical leadership with a designated caseload.

You will contribute to program development, education, and research within Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation Services, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to advance client outcomes and compliant care.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited university in a clinical psychology health profession.
  • Credentials: MI Psychology Doctoral Educational Limited License.
  • Demonstrated writing skills for professional documents and clinical work products.
  • Competence in training, public speaking, professional education and presentation.
  • Competence in psychological, neuropsychological and behavioral assessment, treatment and consultation.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate and actively support the mission of the corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide neuropsychological and behavioral assessments and design effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group education, training, and psychotherapy when clinically indicated.
  • Provide leadership in formulating a consensus on client characteristics and treatment approaches.
  • Provide consultation services to individuals served, referral sources, and staff.
  • Participate in program development and evaluation.
  • Participate in education and training activities of employees.
  • Participate in or develop research activities to advance awareness of BI.
  • Advance awareness of the HNNR BI program through presentations and partnerships.

The Doctoral Psychologist II is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include: providing psychological evaluation, therapy, consultation, and interdisciplinary clinical leadership with a designated caseload.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
  • Provide neuropsychological and behavioral assessments and design effective individual consumer treatment plans (including Behavioral Support Plans) and goals consistent with Recipient Rights, State of Michigan AFC Licensing rules, APA and specialty board practice guidelines, and APA ethical standards.
  • Provide individual and group education, training, and psychotherapy when clinically indicated.
  • Provide leadership in formulating a consensus regarding client characteristics and development of a consistent treatment approach to identified goals in the context of interdisciplinary treatment.
  • Provide consultation services to individuals served, referral and funding sources, HNNR staff, and involved parties relevant to client treatment.
  • Participate in program development and evaluation.
  • Participate in education and training activities of employees.
  • Participate in or develop research activities to advance awareness of the consequences and treatment of BI.
  • Advance awareness of the HNNR BI program in our community through presentations at workshops and conferences and involvement with professional associations (e.g. WMBIN, BIA, APA, GRAMEP).
  • Provide psychological services to contractual agencies as an employee of Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation Services.
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational / Talent Requirements:

  • Minimum Education required: Doctoral degree from an accredited university in a clinical psychology health profession (Health Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, or Counseling Psychology).
  • Credentials: MI Psychology Doctoral Educational Limited License
  • Demonstrated writing skills for professional documents, including clinical documentation and clinical work products in an EMR framework.
  • Competence in training, public speaking, professional education and professional presentation skills.
  • Competence in comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological and behavioral assessment, clinical treatment, and clinical consultation roles.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate and actively support the mission of the corporation to various audiences.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive according to HNNR policy.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Clinical experience: Completion of formal training placements of clinical service experience in health service psychology consistent with Doctoral Psychology Education requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
