Job summary

NERA Economic Consulting seeks Ph.D. candidates for Summer Intern positions across New York City, White Plains, San Francisco and Washington, DC.

Interns will support consultants and may conduct research, build models, and prepare memos and client materials. Ideal applicants are in economics, statistics, finance or related fields with econometrics training; proficient in MS Office and familiar with SAS, Python, R, or Stata.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. candidates in economics, statistics, finance or related field with econometrics training.
• Exceptional analytic skills and strong academic records with clear written/oral communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office; programming with SAS, Python, R or Stata is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect market, industry, company and competitor information for casework.
• Build and use spreadsheet models and apply econometric analysis to data.
• Review, summarize and analyze industry trends; draft memos, expert reports and presentations.
• Participate in client and team meetings and conference calls.
