Job summary

Dow Inc. invites PhD students in chemistry, engineering, materials science, computer science, or data science to join a digital internship. You will tackle open-ended problems and accelerate digital transformation within a global materials company, aligned to R&D, ISC, M&E, or IS/EHS disciplines.

You will collaborate with domain experts, develop expertise as an industrial researcher, and contribute to projects across product, process, and operations. Hybrid or remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Ph.D. degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• Preferred GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Solve diverse, open-ended problems to accelerate the digital evolution of a global materials leader.
• Collaborate with domain experts across Dow teams to tackle chemical, material and industrial challenges.
• Work on projects spanning product and process research, application development, operations improvements, safety, sustainability, and supply chain optimization.
