Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a highly skilled analytical chemist to join our R&D team in Ohio.

In this hands‑on role, you will develop and implement new analytical methods for novel organic molecules and work with advanced instrumentation to support research and product development. The ideal candidate has a PhD in analytical chemistry or related field and hands‑on experience with LC, LC‑MS, GC, GC‑MS, FTIR, and Raman.

Qualifications

• PhD required or in final stages; related field accepted.
• Experience analyzing organic or small molecules.
• Hands‑on use of analytical instrumentation (LC/LC‑MS/GC/GC‑MS/FTIR/Raman).
• Strong knowledge of chromatography, spectroscopy, and separation science.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with problem‑solving abilities.
• Open to outstanding PhD graduates, postdocs and researchers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new analytical methods for novel organic molecules.

• Generate and interpret data to support research and product development.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams on innovation projects.

• Perform hands‑on lab work including sample preparation.

Job description

Base salary $100,000-$110,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, 401k. • Experience analyzing organic or small molecules
• Hands‑on experience with analytical instrumentation such as LC, LC‑MS, GC, GC‑MS, FTIR, Raman, or mass spectrometry
• Strong understanding of chromatography, spectroscopy, and separation science
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities
• Industry experience is not required; outstanding PhD graduates, postdocs, and research organization candidates are encouraged to apply
