Job description
Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr
Supported research activities by preparing, handling, and analyzing chemical and microbial samples, including reagents, solvents, and analytical standards.
Perform various laboratory techniques such as titration, chromatography (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS), spectrophotometry, sample weighing, and pH measurements.
Assist in setting up and monitoring chemical experiments in laboratory and controlled environments, ensuring accurate data collection and experimental integrity.
Record detailed experimental observations and quantitative results in lab notebooks and digital platforms, adhering to established scientific protocols and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Maintain and calibrate chemistry lab equipment (e.g., analytical balances, pipettes, spectrometers) and ensured clean, safe, and well-stocked workspaces.
Organize and analyze experimental data using Microsoft Excel and basic statistical tools to support reporting and decision-making.
Collaborate with research scientists on method development, troubleshooting experiments, and contributing to the design of new chemical studies.
Follow all chemical safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and waste, and promoted a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field.
