Job summary

Perry Homes is seeking a construction supervisor/manager to oversee Phase II construction activities from sheetrock to completion. You will coordinate independent contractors across multiple sites, order materials, and monitor quality against Perry Homes standards.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience, the ability to read complex plans, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required/preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, plans, and development documents.
Effective communication with contractors and homeowners.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Coordinate independent contractors across multiple jobsites.
Order construction materials and monitor quality/quantity.
Ensure Perry Homes quality standards are met and manage change orders.
Support project manager with time, budget, and overhead control.
Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Job description

Acquire and apply the appropriate knowledge of Perry Homes construction procedures regarding the Phase II process (from sheetrock tape and float to home completion) and perform warranty service according to Company procedures.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the various independent contractors over multiple jobsites
Order construction materials
Monitor the quantity and quality of construction materials and completed tasks
Ensure standards of quality as set forth by Perry Homes
Factors critical to success include management of time under construction, construction supervision, direct overhead costs, budget variances, and change orders
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager, Vice President of Construction, or Division President

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required
Requires relevant management or leadership experience
Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally with independent contractors and homeowners, both verbally and in writing. Excellent customer service skills required
Ability to complete tasks on short notice under extreme time constraints. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, reports, correspondence, blueprints, construction plans, plats and development plans
Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Fundamental knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
Knowledge of all Perry Homes policies and procedures applicable to construction personnel and construction activities
Current, valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Truck that complies with Perry Homes' construction policies
